Art Competition and Art Show

Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre Art Competition and Art Show, which was held at the Bowls Club on the 23rd July 2010. There were 82 paintings on display the theme being “Our Community”.  Children and adults alike gave their own impression on what “Our Community looked like.  Marge Shields won Adult 1st Prize and Chantelle Morley from Eagleby State School won an encouragement award.  It was a great night with over 200 people attended, artists were able to sell their art work, all money raised went to Christmas Food Hampers for the disadvantage in the local area.  This will be an annual event for the Beenleigh surrounding areas
